Key:  Additions   Deletions
I recently purchased a product for R14600 from a company in Cape Town South Africa called Bas Four (PTY) Ltd. They also have another registered name Datro Tech.

A sales representative by the name of Russel, called me up and told me about an amazing investment product called Intellivest, that would earn me apporx. R250 to R350 perday. it was based on the thoroughbred horseracing industry as they had found this to be the most reliable and statistically viable investment option rather than the Stock market which was way too volatile.

iI was wasn'tnot convinced anddidn'tand didn't go for it immediately. Russel called me back on a few occasions after that and slowly convinced me that the product would earn me R6000 - R8000 a month and it was being sold out fast. Then I got a call from a Richard, who took over from Russell. Richard convinced me that the product really made good returns and even presented an Excel spreadsheet on their web site with figures from Jan - May. It showed a steady profit of R6000 per month.

Anyway, after about 8 conversations on the phone and much oohin and aahing on my part, i eventually was put through to Doug who also confirmed that the product earned R6000 - R8000 per month and that I could put the transaction through on a 55 day facility on a budget facility on a credit card and the whole amount of R14600 would be paid by the time the first transaction was due to come off.

Still I was hesitant. My wife was totally against it, so they called her and gave her the sales talk. We decided that R6000 pr month extra could really help and pay for the kids school and little extra's.

needless to say, I signed over the money, and received the software. The software gives a daily printout of it's pick of horses that will take a place (1st , 2nd or 3rd) in certain races. although the software does this on a daily basis, the horses it calls are regularly very low paying and low dividend yielding horses. So you would "invest " R100 and if the horse comes in, earn R40 or R50. As you can tell, it would take one loss, and 2-3 of your profits are wiped out. Thus My account slowly declined, until I deceided to stop altogether, as the cost of the program and the losses would quickly add up to the whole years funds for one of my children.

I called the very eager people at Bas Four after 2 weeks (eager before they had my money) to tell them that I would like a refund as the program does not do what the telephone conversations with Russell, Richard and Doug and 2 other people whose names I can't recall, had promised. Make me R250 - R350 per day. After about the fourth message, a gentleman named Doug, called me back to say "they don't give refunds". Full stop.

Conclusion: .I would have been better off investing my money in the bank or investing it in low risk stocks and bonds or just in my house bond account.
